Sir Keir will aim to break away from the Jeremy Corbyn-era of Labour and will claim his party is “back in business”.
This will be the most important political speech of Sir Keir’s career and he will aim to show that Labour is capable of tackling the big issues facing Britain including climate change and recovery from the pandemic.
Sir Keir allies have said he will use the conference to outline how the party has changed since Corbyn’s electoral disaster in 2019.
He will use the current fuel crisis and the rising cost of living as evidence of the current Government’s incompetence, aiming to paint his party as a better alternative.
