A child pedestrian is seriously injured in Aurora hit and run crash.

A child was seriously injured Thursday in an auto-pedestrian crash and the driver fled the scene, police said.

The crash happened at Havana Street and East First Avenue, police said.

The vehicle is described as a black sedan. Police are looking for the driver.

Northbound lanes of Havana Street were closed in the area by the hit-and-run crash, but reopened at about 6:30 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle fled north on Havana. Police described the child’s medical condition as “stable.”
