A brave model shared pictures of her battered face in a bid to raise awareness for domestic violence.
Anthonia Rochus, 21, posted images of the start of her relationship until the end, showing a before and after of the abuse.
The woman from Belgium posted photos of her badly-bruised face, captioning the images: "This is my before and after, no happy ending."
Anthonia's images have been shared online over 1,000 times since she posted them on Twitter.
In the image, she can be seen gazing at her unnamed former partner whose face has been blurred out.
The Flemish model wrote: "Where it all started V where it all ended" – referring to the toxic 18-month relationship.
An investigation has been launched by police in Belgium into the accusations, according to The Sun Online.
Anthonia spoke out about the experience in which she says her ex-partner smashed her face into a radiator, grabbed her by the throat, told her not to wear make-up or the clothes she wanted and broke furniture in their home.
She said: "I do not want to read that a woman has been killed and find out he was the culprit.
"This is my before and after. No happy ending, no true happiness, just pain and sadness."
After meeting her boyfriend, Anthonia believed she would have a fairytale ending, describing it as "love at first sight".
The couple met two-years-ago on holiday and decided to move in together "almost immediately".
She said: "I tried to hold back the boat, but when I went home that evening, there was no denying it, I was in love. Seriously in love."
He began to shower her with gifts and compliments from the start – yet she soon found out he was short-tempered and became jealous.
Over the next few months, he became increasingly violent and controlling.

Speaking to AD, she said: "Suddenly, I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup anymore, and I couldn’t wear the clothes I wanted.
"I wasn't sure what to make of that. Of course, I thought that was strange but wasn't that insecurity especially cute and proof that he really liked me?"
After he attacked her and pulled her hair, smashing her face into the radiator – the model ran home to her mum and decided to cut him off.
However, he begged and promised he would never hurt her again and she decided to "give him a second chance".
Things began to get worse as he humiliated her in public.
She said: "People who have not experienced this themselves often do not understand why you stay with such a person.
"Because they would leave immediately, they say. But I used to think so too. If you had asked me about five years ago if this could happen to me, I would have answered without hesitation: 'Never'.
"But such guys are crafty. He had completely isolated me. I was no longer allowed to have contact with my friends and family.

"He responded to that later 'Do you want to leave me? But you know I'm the only one who still cares about you? You have no one else at all.' And I believed him."
She had enough when he attacked her, causing injury to her head forcing her to go to hospital.
Anthonia said: "That opened my eyes. I realised I had to get out of there before it was too late.
"Then I took the photos, which I have now shared on Twitter. It may sound strange, but I'm 'glad' he hit me too.
"The psychological violence was just as bad, but that is difficult to explain to others."
