A British Airways stewardess has been arrested after flying back to the UK while drunk.
Pilots on a flight from Gran Canaria to Gatwick called ground police to report that a member of the crew was drunk, and possible on drugs, too.
It happened last week on Thursday (January 26), and the 41-year-old was removed from the plane as soon as it landed.

Police boarded the Airbus A320 flight to give the unnamed woman a breathalyser test and found alcohol in high levels in her blood.
Other flight attendants and cockpit crew were interviewed by police.
Several reports claim that the woman was “in no fit state to work”.
A source told The Sun: “The pilot saw for himself that the crew member was in no fit state to work and engage with passengers.
“Her job is to maintain the safety of the aircraft and its passengers, and she was not able to do this.
“He radioed ahead calling for police to meet the aircraft.
“The probe has shocked everyone at the airline.”
It is thought that the stewardess involved has been “stood down”, and British Airways would not comment on the situation other than to confirm that they are “supporting the police with their investigation”.
Sussex Police confirmed that further enquiries are being made, but that the woman has been released on bail for now.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “Officers arrested a 41-year-old woman at about 5.50pm on Thursday, January 26, on suspicion of performing an aviation function when over the prescribed limit for alcohol, contrary to the Railways and Transport Act 2003.
“She has been bailed, pending further enquiries.”
According to several flight expert websites, the flight – under code BA 2601 – was not delayed in landing in London and passengers were unaffected by the chaotic situation.
