A civilian police worker has been jailed after she began an intimate relationship with a convicted rapist.
Rachel Beale, 53, started a relationship with Marc Few, whom she was tasked to manage, after he was released from jail in February 2020.
Her partner even caught Beale in a nightdress on top of a naked Few during their relationship, Bristol Crown Court heard.
Beale, who was working for the Wiltshire Police Management of Sexual or Violent Offenders Unit at the time, invited him round to her home where he consumed alcohol and smoked cannabis, reports WiltshireLive.
James Haskell, prosecuting, said Anthony Mead contacted Wiltshire Police to report an incident and enquired what he should do if an offender manager was 'having sex with a bloke under her care' in May 2020.
This prompted an investigation by the Counter Corruption Unit, the court heard.
Mead said Few lived at his accommodation and he noticed Beale sneaking into his room for prolonged periods.
Haskell said Mead and Few drank and smoked cannabis at Beale's address between March and June 2020.
Jason Elliott, who was in a relationship with Beale, said Few stayed at Beale's address a few times.
Haskell said: "Mr Elliott was suspicious that something was going on and on May 8, 2020, he woke up to find the defendant was not in bed.
"He went to Marc Few's room and the door was open and Mr Few was naked, and the defendant was lying on top of him wearing her nightdress. He challenged the defendant and she denied they'd had sex."

Elliott also recalled one occasion when Beale was on the phone to Few, who told her "so it's just blow jobs from now on then".
Police also found Beale had used her private phone to send intimate messages to Few.
One sent on August 8 in 2020 said: "I want you in me when you get home!X"
Beale appeared at Bristol Crown Court today (March 30) and has been jailed for six months.
She had previously pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office.

Beale has also been added to the College of Policing barred register. This means that she will not be able to work for another police force again.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) led the investigation into the matter. A further internal Wiltshire Police investigation found Beale would have been sacked had she not already resigned from the force.
Deputy Chief Constable Paul Mills of Wiltshire Police, said: “It goes without saying that we expect the highest levels of conduct from all our officers, staff and volunteers, something which is even more important when an employee is directly involved in supervising offenders within our community.
“Rachel Beale betrayed the trust of the public, and betrayed the trust of her colleagues, when she blatantly abused her position to commit this crime. The outcome of this investigation and today’s sentence shows that there is no place in policing for someone who behaves in this way.”
