Joke shops are flogging the outfits – like the one used by a convicted sex pest.
So-called Somerset gimp Joshua Hunt was linked to 25 incidents in five years.
The gardener, 32, was issued with a sexual risk order after dressing in an all-black suit in public at night and “crawling, wriggling or writhing on the ground”.

He jumped out at members of the public, with one saying: “It was out of a nightmare.”
Earlier this month, Hunt, of Claverham, North Somerset, was banned from wearing the suit in public again after he was convicted of two offences under the Public Order Act of intentionally causing harassment, alarm or distress.
But the suits are still available online for just a few quid.
Smiffy’s online store sells them for £38.99, with a picture showing a man in one with his hands above his head in handcuffs.

Craig said: "Ideal for someone 6ft tall, any taller and it is a tight squeeze, thankfully it doesn’t make you too hot as similar costumes might.
“Good for a night out or stag but don’t expect too much longevity as it splits easily so do wear clothes underneath. Real gimping wouldn’t be recommended.”
