A furious driver mowed down a cyclist after he spat on his Land Rover, leaving the man with some gruesome injuries.
Alan Moult, 74, recklessly sped his vehicle at Nick Cook, causing him to suffer broken ribs and a torn penis.
The pair butted heads after Moult's car's wing mirror was accidentally damaged as he stopped at traffic lights, The Sun reported.
The 74-year-old's wife Irene reportedly begged him to stop as he chased after the victim as he cycled away before they came to blows further up the road.
Mr Cook then allegedly spat on the bonnet which caused retired engineer Moult to get back into his car and drive into him.
Moult, who was later interviewed by police, claimed he had "accidentally" put his foot on the accelerator which led to the car surging forward into Mr Cook.
Dad Moult, from Greater Manchester, admitted to causing injury by dangerous driving.
In mitigation, defence counsel Miss Rachel Shenton said her client was a carer for his wife who suffers from anxiety.
He was jailed for 18 months and got a three-year driving ban at Minshull Street Crown Court.
