Sunny skies gradually will turn cloudy bringing cool temperatures and rain showers Wednesday afternoon, possibly becoming light snow around sunset, according to the National Weather Service.
The high temperature in metro Denver will be 58 degrees, weather service forecasters said. Breezes were expected to intensify Wednesday afternoon with wind blowing at speeds up to 20 miles per hour and gusts as fast as 31 mph. The night likely will be blustery with rain possibly turning to snow as temperatures drop below freezing.
In western Colorado’s mountains, up to 5 inches of snow will fall, but along the Interstate 25 corridor and high plains little or no snow accumulation is likely, forecasters said.
