Mostly light snow will continue in the mountains on Saturday as the Denver weather forecast calls for partly sunny skies.
The high temperature in Denver will hit 38 degrees, according to the National Weather service, with winds gusting to about 30 mph.
Winds in the mountains will gust up to 40 mph and drivers should expect winter conditions, especially along mountain passes. A few inches of snow accumulation is expected Saturday, with “patchy blowing snow,” the weather service said. Snow is also in the forecast for parts of the foothills and the Eastern Plains.
Overnight in Denver the low temperatures will drop to 13 degrees under partly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.
On Sunday, skies will be mostly sunny over Denver and the high temperature will climb to 37 degrees. Monday’s high temperature will hit 48 degrees under sunny skies.
A warming trend is in the Denver forecast Sunday through Wednesday and the weather will be dry. An approaching storm system will bring a chance of rain and snow showers Thursday to north central and northeastern Colorado.
