Dog’s adorable routine of bringing owner presents while she works melts hearts

A cute video shows a dog's adorable daily routine of bringing "presents" to its owner while they work at home.

In the clip, uploaded on Reddit by user @Wowzaaz, an Australian shepherd dog is seen through a door appearing to struggle with something heavy in its mouth.

Slowly, the dog comes into view, entering the room while dragging an entire blanket behind it.

The cute pooch then twirls around a couple of times with the blanket, while making big adoring eyes at the person filming.

It was captioned with: "Our pup likes to bring my mom stuff while she works."

Unsurprisingly, the footage was a huge hit with dog lovers on Reddit, getting more than 4,700 up-votes since it was uploaded earlier today and receiving hundreds of comments.

Imitating the dog's thoughts, one viewer quipped: "Hey! I brought a blanket so I can hang out with you!

"You just have to fold it up and make it nice for me!

"Of course, I’ll immediately mess it up and then look at you mournfully until you fix it but that’s okay because we’ll be together!"

Another fan gushed: "Look at that little wiggle butt!"

Someone else crooned: "Aaaaw sweet baby. What a precious face."

Joking about the dog's unique behaviour, a fourth viewer wrote: "No sheep to herd. Only wool blanket."

Australian shepherd dogs are not actually thought to come from Down Under but the Basque region of Spain, according to the American Kennel Club.

They are described as athletic herding dogs that are highly intelligent and can be trained to perform many tricks.

Physically, the breed tends to have very short tails and often feature odd-coloured eyes, known as heterochromia.
