Google Earth user finds her grandmother on street view years after she died

Heartwarming footage shows a Google Earth user find her late grandmother chilling out in her garden years after she died.

In the sweet video, uploaded on TikTok by user @sundrenched625, she shows the moment she discovered the treasured snapshot of a day in the life of her nan.

Although she died in 2019, the elderly woman is spotted soaking up some sunshine on Google Earth as she relaxes outside her property, MirrorOnline reports.

The woman shared a video of the sweet moment, adding: "My grandma passed away in 2019 but on Google Earth, she's sitting outside enjoying a nice summer day."

Her video has been viewed more than 300,000 times since being shared on TikTok and it prompted others to take a look at their homes.

One person found a relative lost during the coronavirus pandemic and happily commented: "My grandpa is mowing the lawn.

"Covid got him last week. Thanks for the idea it made me happy to see him."

Another replied: "My grandfather passed away two years ago.

"I just looked up my grandparents' address and saw him in their driveway. Thank you for posting this."

"Not seen my mom in over a year, she is on her porch on Google Earth from 2019," said a third.

A fourth replied: "My heart wasn't ready for this."

This comes after people spotted a very rude message deliberately left in a garden so Google Maps satellites would photograph it.

"F U Google," is written into the lawn with a mower.

Another disgruntled homeowner left a similarly confrontational message on the roof of their house.

Meanwhile, another Google Maps user claimed to find "Bigfoot" casually strolling through the grass.
