Met Office issues heat warning for seven regions as temps set to soar

A weather warning has been issued by the Met Office as temperatures are expected to soar within hours.

The body warned that “indoor environments” could become “very warm” and said there is an “increased risk of mortality amongst vulnerable individuals”.

The Met Office today issued a yellow weather warning, and is expecting temperatures to reach the high 20s, causing “another widely warm, muggy night”.
