Mum, 32, and boyfriend both found dead on same day died from natural causes

A mum and her boyfriend were both found dead on the same day, and both are said to have died of natural causes.

An inquest has heard Aleasha Sullivan, 32, was discovered after concerns for her welfare were flagged, with the 32-year-old found behind the front door of her home in Holcombe, Devon.

Josh Sandercock, 30, the on-off boyfriend of Aleasha, was also found dead on the sofa after police officers broke into the abode following welfare concerns.

Toxicology reports presented to an inquest have since shown the mum died from blood clots on her lungs and had taken drugs, the latter of which was reportedly not the cause of death.

Assistant coroner Mike Bird said: "Both Aleasha and Joshua were found dead at the same premises at the same time on the same day. Both of them died from natural causes."

Police had been called to the home back in October 2021 after the 32-year-old was not seen for nine days, The Sun reported.

The hearing has since declared that both Aleasha and Josh were "dead for a little while" by the time officers found the pair, who had been in a "volatile" nine month relationship.

Police investigator Paul Cashman added: "It was a set of very unusual circumstances."

Josh had previously been arrested for assaulting Aleasha and had been served with a domestic violence protection order, which banned him from contacting Aleasha and also from entering her home.

Said protection order was due to expire the day before the bodies were found, the inquest heard.

No signs of trauma or assault were found on Aleasha's body, a coroner has confirmed, while a separate inquest into Josh's death is set to be held later today.

A GoFundMe for the mum said she "touched the lives of everyone she knew" and was described as a "funny, caring, selfless soul".
