A member of the public was the first to spot the tragic corpse and dialled 999.

A police statement said: "We've identified the mother as a result of our earlier appeal and she is now receiving appropriate care.

"We will be speaking to her in due course. Thank you to everyone for sharing the appeal."

West Midlands Police confirmed they were called to the scene just after 9am on Sunday.

In their desperate search for the missing mother officers had stared, scouring CCTV and ringing hospitals to track her down.
