PlayStation fans heard the news they have been waiting for today after Sony announced the new PS5 will be released on November 19 in a major announcement.
The console will cost £449.99.
Trailers for a number of new games were shown online in the PS5 Showcase Live before the big reveal. The games showcased included Final Fantasy XVI and Hogwarts: Legacy and Resident Evil VIII.
It will be released on November 12 in USA, Japan, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea.
While in the UK it will be released a week later on November 19.

Gaming fans could barely contain their excitement at the highly-anticipated news.
One wrote: "Sony did it, the smacked with PRICE… wow … wow … this PlayStation 5 hype train isnt gonna stop #PlayStation5."
Another uploaded a meme of Arnold Schwarzenegger eating noddles and joked: "Me eating noodles for the next 3 months to pay for the PS5."
The digital only edition costs £359. Other game trailers to be featured in the showcase were Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Demon's Souls.
There was even better news for gaming fans after PlayStation revealed when they would be able to pre-order their console and favourite games from. The official Twitter account tweeted: "PS5 pre-orders will be available starting as early as tomorrow at select retailers.
One fan wrote: "I don't know about you guys, but definitely getting the PS5 Digital Edition. Sony has been crushing it."
