Police rush to ‘serious incident’ at holiday park as public urged to ‘stay away’

Police and an air ambulance have been called to a holiday park after a "serious incident".

The scene at Parkdean's Ty Mawr Holiday Park in Towyn, North Wales, has been cordoned off this afternoon as an air ambulance landed close to the park on the A548.

The road shut in both directions hut has been reopened since.

Part of the holiday park owned by Park Dean resorts was also closed off.

North Wales Police have confirmed there is no threat to the wider public but warned people to stay away from the area.

In a tweet, the force said: "Officers are attending a serious incident at a Holiday Park near Abergele. Investigations are ongoing. Apologies for any difficulty.

"There is no threat to the public but please stay away as we deal with the incident. Thanks for your patience."

A park spokesperson confirmed it is assisting police.

They told the Mirror: "There has been an incident at the park and our team are assisting the police. It would be inappropriate to comment further."
