A strange Russian advert has encouraged the average working men of the country to put their lives on the line in Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine.

In front of these acted-heroes the words “You’re a man! Be one!” glare.
They are followed by an admin sheet saying “Serve under contract! Monthly payments from 204,000 roubles” (£2,010).
