A new report in the US has claimed that the Queen "won't want family conflict" at this point in her reign.
An unnamed 'royal insider' told American tabloid People that the recent fall out between Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex and the rest of the family is the last thing she'd be wanting to deal with after 69 years on the throne.
They said: "What she won't want is family conflict at this stage of her reign."
The unnamed source also claimed that the aftermath of the Sussex's bombshell Oprah interview – in which they spoke of racism, unanswered calls, and Meghan feeling incredibly isolated and suicidal – would have been even harder for her as Prince Philip spent a month in hospital.
"She is always head of the country and Prince Philip was always head of the family," the insider adds.
"He is not there to be that—so everything is falling on to her shoulders. It must be an incredibly lonely place to be."
When approached by the Daily Star, Buckingham Palace declined to comment on the story.
Earlier this week, we reported that Prince Harry's departure from the Royal Family has "changed the way" the Queen sees Prince William and she now "values his input".
According to The Sunday Times, the Duke of Cambridge and his grandmother have reportedly grown "much closer" in recent years as the Royal Family work together to steer themselves through recent crises.
The paper listed Brexit, Prince Andrew’s friendship with Jeffrey Epstein and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s exit as situations that have been a strain on the monarchy – all of which Prince William is said to have helped Her Majesty manage.

But despite claims she and now "values" his advice a lot more, there is still said to be disagreement within 'The Firm' about how to deal with Harry and Meghan's claims of racism.
Some senior Royals, such as Prince William, reportedly want to tackle the Duke and Duchess head-on, while others, want to stick to the Queen’s never explain or complain mantra.

Australian royal commentator, Christina Garibaldi, said: "We are hearing that the Queen and Prince Charles are really not on the same page when it comes to dealing with Harry and Meghan.
"It seems like the Queen wants to take a more modest approach. Charles seems to want to lay it all out there."
