Toddler with cleft lip adopts adorable tiny puppy with the same condition

A toddler with a cleft lip has fallen in love with a puppy with the same condition.

Little Bentley, 2, has adopted black and white dog and the pair are now inseparable.

The youngster has already undergone surgeries on his face.

Bentley's mum Ashley Boyers said: “It means a lot because he can grow up and understand that he and his puppy both have something that they can share in common."

A worker at the Jackson County Animal Shelter in Detroit, US, said the pair were made for each other.

They said: "It’s so hard to put into words how meaningful this adoption is to all of us so we are going to let the pictures speak for themselves.

"At two years old and with surgeries already under his belt for his cleft lip, Bentley found his match in this tiny pup who also has a cleft lip.

"They instantly loved each other.

"We wish many years of joy as this special pair grow up together."

Meanwhile a devastated pet owner is begging for help after the man she employed as a dog-sitter refused to return her beloved pooch.

Carmen Pham says the man “went into hiding” with her purebred Corgi called Haku.

She left the four-year-old with the man and his girlfriend in July in Queensland, Australia.

A post on a stolen and missing pets Facebook page said: “After he was requested by the legal owners to return her to them he went into hiding.

“Haku has been seen in the possession of the man’s girlfriend. Pictures of Haku have been posted on the girlfriend’s business Instagram page even though the girlfriend has denied any knowledge of knowing Haku to the police.”

The police are now investigating the crime after the man sent emails offering to pay for the dog which he said he now has a special bond with.
