CCTV shows Mr Cilga going down the slide headfirst and then staying underwater after smacking his head on the bottom of the pool.

Swimmers pass by unawares before two people eventually spot him about a minute after he went down the slide.

A man can then be seen quickly swimming over to Mr Cilga after jumping into the water. He is laid down next to the pool before attempts at resuscitation begin.

The Turkish national was taken to hospital but died one week after the accident on July 3. Local media report Mr Cilga had been warned by a lifeguard at the pool not to slide down headfirst.

The Manavgat Public Prosecution ordered an autopsy of Mr Cilga’s body at the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute as the investigation continues.

The tragedy in Türkiye came after a 20-year-old tourist was found in a swimming pool at a club on a Greek island on July 2. He died when a burst blood vessel flooded his lungs with blood, according to the Mirror.

That incident happened in Laganas on the island of Zakynthos where the man was holidaying with friends.

On spotting him motionless in the water, the club owner jumped in and administered CPR, but the man failed to regain consciousness.
