Prince William and Kate Middleton made virtually 'no effort' to introduce their children to Lilibet Diana during the Platinum Jubilee, according to a royal expert.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's one-year-old daughter and her brother Archie accompanied the Sussexes during their four-day trip to the UK last week.
While over in their dad's home country, the family celebrated Lilibet's birthday by introducing the kids to a few relatives around their own age from the Royal Family.
It was reported that Lilibet's cousins, Zara Tindall's children Mia, Lena and Lucas, were invited to attend the small party, as well as Peter Phillips and Autumn Kelly’s daughters.
But the Cambridge children were apparently nowhere to be seen — prompting speculation about whether this was due to a clash of schedules or a brotherly snub.
Speaking to the Us Weekly magazine, royal commentator Christopher Andersen said all evidence suggested that mixing the Sussex and Cambridge families had never been on the cards.
The 73-year-old author of 'The Day Diana Died' and 'Brothers and Wives' said: “William and Kate made no effort at all to introduce Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis"
Putting this down to a lack of communication between the two brothers, he added: “As far as I know, nobody believes they spoke [to each other]"
It comes after claims elsewhere that Prince Harry was snubbed when he tried to meet with his brother during the Platinum Jubilee over fears he may leak conversations to the media.
Since leaving for the US in early 2020 Harry has reportedly had a strained relationship with his elder sibling, despite the pair being close when they were young.
Tensions came to a head last year after he and wife Meghan Markle took part in an explosive interview with US chat show host Oprah Winfrey in which he suggested that William was "trapped" inside the Royal Family.
An insider based in the UK told the New York Post: “Things are still fraught — William is still wary of spending any time alone with Harry as you never quite know what may be reported back afterwards.”
