A woman has been arrested for stabbing her fiancé to death with a sword on Christmas Day – and she's being held on a £1.5million bond.
And the make the chilling act even more horrifying, Brittany Wilson has been picture grinning like a Cheshire cat in her police mugshot.
Police arrived at the home of the woman, from Missouri, after a report of “suspicious activity”.
They found the Ms Wilson's live-in partner dead on arrival, the Cape Girardeau Police Department said on Saturday in a statement.
The man has been identified as 34-year-old Harrison Stephen Foster, the New York Post reports.
He was found just after 11pm in their basement with “fresh stab wounds” after the woman had called police and “admitted to killing her boyfriend with a sword”, which officers found on the ground outside the house, CBS news reports.
Ms Wilson was charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action, with her bond set at an eye-watering £1.5 million.
It is not expected to be met.
The mugshot released by police shows Ms Wilson wearing an orange-jumpsuit, with a creepy wide smile.
She admitted to police that the pair had taken methamphetamines the day before, and that she was hoping to set free the “several other entities living inside his body for the past several months”, according to police source.
According to the Daily Mail, she had posted a meme on her Facebook page on Christmas Day about sharing “multidimensional experiences” with other people.
She captioned it: “So guys, Uhhhhhh, Turns out the love of Christ has superpower perks. Don’t follow me for further elaboration, Follow him for Eternal Salvation.”
In an even sadder twist to this story, the pair were planning to get married having announced their engagement in April.
She also has two children – neither of which are thought to belong to the now-deceased partner.
