A woman who believed she had been kidnapped by gunmen was even more surprised to see her boyfriend down on one knee when she pulled off her blindfold.
Tourist Vanessa Moujalli from Sydney, Australia, had been on a tour of Lebanon and was bundled into a car by people she believed to be kidnappers.
Bursting into tears as she pleaded with the strangers draped in balaclavas, wielding what appeared to be guns, Vanessa was given a less-than stellar build-up to her eventual offer of marriage.

Footage from Vanessa's TikTok showed the soon-to-be engaged woman in the back of a car with her family which is promptly stopped by armed men who tell her to get into the back of a car.
She can be heard screaming in the clip: "No, please. I'm not going with them – I told them I'll give them whatever they want."
Vanessa was then seen sobbing as she was guided along a gravel path to what she presumed was a grisly end or horrifying and unexpected twist to her holiday.
But she saw boyfriend Adam Rizk holding her a bunch of flowers before she burst into tears and her family joined her as her boyfriend approached with a ring, The Sun reported.
The absolutely terrifying proposal turned out well in the end, with the brush with being on the receiving end of a criminal offence a "dream come true", as her TikTok caption read.

A series of photos shared from the event showed the look of horror and blindfold, but also the elation from receiving the proposal at the end of a gravel path.
Rizk's sister Tahlia shared the footage of the prank-like kidnapping on TikTok, saying: "How my brother decided to propose."
A kidnapping is certainly more original than a trip to Paris or fancy meal out, but some involved in the build-up to the proposal were worried Vanessa was going to "f***ing lose it".
That was not the case though, with Vanessa announcing her engagement to Adam on social media just a few days after the mocked-up kidnapping.
