Mitchell Callaway, 37, was charged with the murder of a nine-month-old baby.
The man became famous after appearing on the Australian edition of X Factor as a contestant.
On Thursday morning, he was seen being led from a home in Bowraville, New South Wales, following his arrest.
After arriving at Macksville Police Station, he was charged with the murder of the baby, following a five-year-long investigation.
