A plane carrying 14 people crashed while flying over Brazil, killing everyone on board in a horrific tragedy.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Grim footage of the aftermath shows the damaged plane strewn across the ground near the Amazon River in the municipality of Barcelos.<\/p>\n
Several American tourists are among the dead after the air taxi-style plane plunged into the ground.\u00a0<\/p>\n
There were 12 passengers and two crew members, including the pilot and co-pilot\u00a0<\/p>\n
Colonel M\u00e1ximo, Secretary of Civil Defense of Amazonas, confirmed the accident.\u00a0<\/p>\n
A clip of the scene posted to X by @choquei was captioned: “The plane that crashed in Barcelos, Amazonas, had 14 people. Everyone died, including the pilot and co-pilot. The air taxi-style plane was transporting American tourists.”<\/p>\n
Footage appears to show responders on the scene with a parked police vehicle present.<\/p>\n
Wilson Lima, a\u00a0spokesperson for the governor of Amazonas, said the plane took off from Manaus bound for Marcelos, 400 kilometres away.<\/p>\n
