As dry weather continues, elevated fire conditions are likely across much of the state Friday.<\/p>\n
Denver and the I-25 corridor continue to see warm, sunny days, but humidity dropping and winds picking up throughout the day Friday will to increased fire danger.<\/p>\n
Denver’s high Friday is 84 degrees. Winds will be between six and 16 mph, with gusts of up to 25 mph.<\/p>\n
The increased fire danger is worse in the south-central part of the state, from El Paso County to the New Mexico border, where a red flag warning is in place until 7 p.m.<\/p>\n
Winds there could reach up to 45 mph, and the humidity will be as low as 9%.<\/p>\n
Back in Denver, Friday night will continue to be mostly cloudless and windy, with gusts of up to 21 mph. The low is 47 degrees.<\/p>\n
Over the weekend, Denver is still expected to see a slight drop in temperatures to the high 70s. Sunny and dry weather is still expected through next week as well.<\/p>\n
