A Brit is \u201clucky to be alive\u201d after his scalp was ripped from his skull in a horror car crash in Ibiza.<\/p>\n
Vincent Brodie\u2019s car flipped three times after the accident, leaving him with horrific injuries. The incidnet occurred on September 8.<\/p>\n
The 30-year-old, who works as a lorry driver, was travelling in the front passenger seat of a hire car at the time. No other passengers were injured according to reports.<\/p>\n

But Vincent suffered horrific injuries including a laceration to his right arm, a life-threatening tear to an artery in his thigh, and his scalp was torn from his skull. Vincent was rushed to hospital for urgent treatment and had to undergo three operations.<\/p>\n

In an interview with the ECHO, Vincent\u2019s mum Sarah admitted she feared the worst after hearing the details of the accident. She flew out to the part island the day after the crash. <\/p>\n
She told the publication: "I can't remember getting there. I was in total panic mode. I was just thinking I could get there and he was going to be dead. I just kept thinking he couldn't be alive with the trauma he'd had.<\/p>\n
"I was just in bits. I couldn't believe how ill he looked, just lying there in bed with his head in such pain. I couldn't wait to get him home."<\/p>\n

Luckily Vincent was well enough to fly home last week and is now being treated at Whiston Hospital in Merseyside. He is awaiting further plastic surgery and has been told he can\u2019t return to working as an HGV Driver.<\/p>\n
Sarah claims the airbags did not deploy and is now attempting to speak with Europcar, the care hire company which provided the Audi her son was travelling in.<\/p>\n
"I just don't understand why the airbags didn't deploy. I don't have a clue. Not one airbag went off," she claimed. <\/p>\n

"The doctors in Ibiza, I cannot thank them enough. But Vincent has life-long head injuries. He's been left with tinnitus in his ear, his anxiety is through the roof, and he's off work. He's scared he'll lose his apartment because he can't pay the \u00a3500-a-month rent. I've had to borrow money myself to fly there and back.<\/p>\n
"Vincent is the baby of the family and the only boy. Everyone in the family has been affected by this. It's not just a stupid accident with a few stitches – it's life-changing. I don't know how he will come back from it."<\/p>\n
A spokesman for Europcar said: "Europcar is cooperating fully with the local authorities and as this is an ongoing investigation cannot provide further information at this stage. It is in touch with the customer regarding the matter."<\/p>\n
