Storm Bernard is sweeping tomorrow (Monday, October 23) – and will bring the first of 13 straight days of rain until after Halloween.<\/p>\n
The storm, named by Portugal, is set to arrive from the continent to drench the South then North.<\/p>\n
It is one of four more Atlantic storms forecast this week following Storm Babet and is set to bring another four inches of rain with 60mph gales worsening Britain\u2019s most widespread floods for years.<\/p>\n

Further tempests are due on Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, with rain bursts on days in-between.<\/p>\n
The torments are not yet expected to be named by the Met Office, but they will bring heavy rain, gusty winds at times and more flood risks.<\/p>\n
Four inches of rain in the South-East, three inches in the West and an inch in other parts are shown this week on computer forecast models.<\/p>\n

BBC Weather forecasts rain every day from Monday for 13 days in London, on 12 of the next 13 days in Sheffield and 11 days in Birmingham.<\/p>\n
Rainfall is almost double the usual so far this month, at 110mm in England and Wales compared to the 65mm average.<\/p>\n
Netweather forecaster Nick Finnis said: \u201cIf you are fed up with the rain already, I\u2019m afraid there is bad news.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt could rain most days for the rest of October.<\/p>\n
\u201cStorm Bernard from Portugal will arrive over southern England on Monday night, with a spell of rain and wind.\u201d<\/p>\n

A Met Office forecaster said: \u201cMonday turns wet across many southern parts later, with unsettled weather again across all areas from Tuesday to Thursday.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be showers or longer spells of rain, some heavy, and it will be windy at times.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe end of the week sees more rain, the heaviest likely across southern areas, and gales possible through the English Channel.<\/p>\n
\u201cSpells of wet and windy weather are likely until November 4.\u201d<\/p>\n
