Prince William and Kate Middleton have allegedly had some heated debates over the future of children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, a Royal source has said.

With Prince George already part way through his 11th year of life, and his sister turning nine next year, their parents are now scoping out schools for when they turn high school age. And there are two boarding school options – Kate's former school of Marlborough College, or the future King's choice of Eton College.

This, a source claimed, has been a bone of contention between them – and King Charles had to get involved to help sort it out. Speaking to Life and Style, a Royal source said: “After years of discussion and heated debates between William, Kate and King Charles III, the family have made a choice.

“Rather than send George away on his own they’ve decided that he and sister Charlotte will attend boarding school together. While the royal family expected that George would follow in William’s footsteps, Kate got the final say: They’ll both be students at Marlborough. This way, George and Charlotte will have a few years where they’ll overlap at the same school. Kate has fond memories of her time there and feels it’s a better fit for her children.”

Prince George is due to start next year, meaning Princess Charlotte will be torn from her current school in order to spend more time with her brother at Marlborough. Another source went on to claim Prince William “is happy for Kate to take the lead” on the decision, too, as she “always wanted them to have more of a normal upbringing than William did”.
