Drunk passenger hurls abuse at other travellers before puking on womans bag

An 'intoxicated' passenger left people furious after she was filmed hurling abuse at other passengers before puking on the bags of the woman sat behind her.

Nicole Schreib has opened up about her journey from hell as she was set to travel from New York to Miami on a American Airlines flight. The woman claims she spotted two highly "stumbling drunk" women in the bathroom at the airport at 7.30am on November 30.

But things went from bad to worse when she boarded her flight and discovered that the women were making the same trip as her — sat just infront of her and causing a scene. In a video, shared via X (Twitter), the one of the drunken passengers was heard screaming abuse at men sat next to her, branding them "p*ssies".

"[The woman was] slurring her words and can barely talk," Nicole told Business Insider. "This woman should not be on this plane. I was concerned, honestly."

But if that wasn't irritating enough, the drunk woman started vomiting everywhere mid-flight. Nicole said she "couldn't believe the amount" as some of it even landed on her bags.

Furious, Nicole complained to staff allegedly told her they couldn't clean it up as it's a bodily fluid. The passenger later contacted American Airlines hoping the company would compensate her for the rudined flight — and bags — as she claims the flight crew was aware she was drunk when she boarded the flight.

But the company emailed her telling her they can't take responsibility for another passenger. The email said: "I'm sorry to hear your property was damaged by another passenger.

"While I can certainly understand your frustration with the situation, unintentional things can and do happen in public spaces. Although it is unfortunate that you were involved in this situation, we are unable to take responsibility for the actions of another individual."

She was offered a mere $50 in compensation as a gesture of goodwill. However, Nicole said: "It's not about the money. It was about taking a little responsibility and actually apologizing for what happened."

A spokesperson from American Airlines said: "We strive to provide a positive travel experience for all of our customers, and a member of our team has reached out to learn more."
